Birthdays Today

HomaGrown is a network of environmentally responsible people from around the globe that practice Ancient Homa Organic Farming Techniques.

What is Homa Organic Farming?

Today we are at critical point in history where business as usual can no longer continue if we are to make the needed changes that will result in a sustainable means of food production while concurrently being good stewards of our environment This means we need to adopt more effective ways that do not require agro chemicals and pesticides to accomplish the desired end of abundant chemical free food production.

Pollution of our water supply is endemic and people everywhere are suffering from its contaminate effects. Micro and macro fauna within and upon the earth’s soil are dying and the impact on plant life and in particular on trees can be seen worldwide. Pestilence due to global warming is increasing along with plagues and hither to unseen diseases. The net results of these global weather changes including the phenomena of acid rain will be higher food prices and lower quality of food stores and in the extreme starvation and desolation.

GMO foods are already being shown to have been a terrible and most costly error in judgment and have presented new and difficult challenges in and of themselves. Many countries are outlawing this new and dangerous bio-technology recognizing it for what it is, a totally unknown factor which may have disastrous implications for the planet and us all. What are we to do if we are to take the world's food production to where it must go in order to feed the people of our world abundant healthy and wholesome foods in the future?

HomaGrown® Foods is leading the way to a better and more sustainable ecological model of food production. Through incorporating ancient Ayurvedic Agricultural Techniques (AAT) HomaGrown® Foods is able to produce more food in a given area without the use of dangerous and harmful agro chemicals and pesticides furthermore HomaGrown® techniques have an ecological effect and benefit of neutralizing toxicity in the air water and soil.. This is accomplished by cooperation with nature not in competition with her.

To rid crops of pestilence, predators are marshaled through the resourcefulness of natural forces that counter act the pestilence in an eco balanced fashion without using pesticides. Through the fumigatory effect of Homa fires nutrition is introduced into the atmosphere in the vicinity where it can enter the plants in ways more conducive to their health and natural development. The net result is disease and pest free crops with greater yields, better color, look and taste, as well as most importantly a superior nutritional profile.

The Copenhagen Climate Talks and a Petition you may want to sign.

Below is a link that you can use if you would like to support the effort to at least begin to deal with the environmental issues of our time. It may be true that little will be done by governments of the world in this regards but at least we will show them that there are growing numbers (millions in fact) of us that care and are willing to say so. Daily performance of Agnihotra is of course the first and best line of proactive environmentalism.

The Homa Culture Position on the use of Pesticides from an organic farming perspective

The entire foundation upon which Homa Culture rests is a Vedic but also Buddhist concept known as Ahimsa or non-violence. The Holy Tapestry of Life is such that there is no life here that does not have a reason and a purpose to be here, thus there are no “good” or “bad” life forms as all have a valuable and important role to play. Let us also remember that what we have inherited in terms of an eco system was millions perhaps billions of years in the making. This ancient Eco System includes many… Continue

New life and new understanding.

Sometimes He even said: If someone ask us for spiritual advise. We tell him we are not the right person to ask. If you want to grow health food or live a healthy and harmonious life we can give you the advice to do Agnihotra. We can help you to find a proper person to answer your quest… Continue
